Job Description

The Neighborhood Veterinarian is seeking a part-time veterinary technician/assistant. We are an established, busy two doctor practice in Broad Ripple that caters to the unique culture of the neighborhood. Our goal is to provide top-notch customer service combined with the best practices for patient care. A small, seasoned staff means everyone is important and needed. The Neighborhood Veterinarian is a privately owned clinic that continually supports small businesses in the community. We are looking for the right person to join an amazing team and welcome the opportunity for continued growth within the clinic. Applicants must qualify in the following areas:

  • Hours: Monday and Tuesday 8am-6:30pm, every other Wednesday 7:30am-12:30pm, occasional Saturday
  • Able to lift 30lbs
  • Reliable to arrive on time and work scheduled shifts
  • IV catheter placement and general phlebotomy skills
  • Animal restraint with a focus on fear-free practices
  • Digital radiology
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Basic knowledge of preventative care and wellness recommendations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients
  • Ability to multitask technician and customer service responsibilities
  • Avimark software knowledge helpful but not necessary
  • Client Education
  • Kennel Cleaning

All employees are cross-trained with a focus on concierge care for our patients and clients. Attention to detail, thoroughness, and dependability is a must. Hourly wage dependent on previous work history and skills.
